Forward, Musketeers! A historical immersion in Vitré

Looking to introduce your children to history in a fun way? This Friday, August 28, the Place du Château in Vitré is transforming into a genuine 17th-century training camp. Les Lames de Sévigné invite young recruits to join the army of Louis XIII for a memorable afternoon.

During this three-hour immersion, children will be able to learn period techniques. Between handling gunpowder and the maneuvers of pikemen or arquebusiers, participants will step into the shoes of true musketeers. A unique opportunity to learn the military tactics of yesteryear while having fun.

Please note that places are limited for this activity intended for 8-14 year olds. Remember to book quickly with the city’s heritage and museum service to guarantee your apprentice soldiers’ participation.
